Target Metal Mix for Fall Tablesettings

Have you shopped Target home goods lately? In-store or on-line you’ll find well-designed, fun and trendy products at reasonable prices.

Honestly, this is not a sponsored post. I just truly LOVE shopping there for décor. I can’t wait to see what each new season will bring, and my 20-something daughter loves it as much as I do.

Some of my favorite products this fall are those that mix gold, silver and copper. I decided to play “dress up” and put them together into a festive fall table setting to help you get the jump on Turkey Day.

Start with ‘software’ basics that don’t cost a bundle

The Threshold metallic wish towel is too sweet to save for cleanup. How about repurposing as over-size napkins for that over-size fall fete you’re planning? Everyone gets a wishbone of sorts, as well as an amply protected lap.

And they’d look stunning paired with the Threshold copper piecing placemat.

Up the mixed-metal ante with this sumptuous gold metallic leaf table-runner by Nate Berkus.

Metals always translate neutral, so these table linens will provide a dramatic backdrop for most dinnerware patterns and colors.

Add ‘hardware,’ that only looks delicate

Start with Cambridge Silversmith Jessamine Mirror flatware in copper or goldtone. Dishwasher safe and never needs polishing, so you’ll spend less time fussing and more time enjoying guests.

The flatware will look like you spent a million bucks alongside Threshold Vermillion dinnerware. This collection features a versatile pale gray background with muted fall hues in a sophisticated floral pattern. The copper band around the rim of each plate, bowl and cup adds plays up the mixed-metal vibe. Plus it’s hard-wearing glazed stoneware, so microwave and dishwasher safe.

Complete the look with Artland Mingle tumblers. The seedy clear glass and yellow bubbled bands echo the hammered finish of the flatware. Dishwasher safe, $29.99 for four.

Finish with flourishes that focus on fall bounty

Such as these Threshold figurines in ceramic and/or polyresin:

  • Pumpkins in black (two sizes) and white (I love the gold stems!)
  • Figs in gold and copper
  • Pears in platinum and silver mirror.

Mix and match, or stick with just one or two styles. Place one figurine on each plate, line down the center of the table, OR…

Fill the beautiful Threshold hammered aluminum bowl

…or the Threshold hammered aluminum serving tray in silver- or goldtone.

However you style it, don’t forget the candles. Your favorite beeswax or flameless tapers will add double the sparkle in this graphic copper candelabra. Hint-hint: More than one would up the dazzle even more. Consider one at either end, three grouped in the center, or three clusters of three for a large table.

If you purchase any of the items described here, please post a snap of how you use them in the comments and share how your guests oohed and aahed. Happy fall feasting!
